HUBER Wastewater Symposium 2025 – ‘Wastewater Treatment of Tomorrow’

Under the forward-looking motto ‘Wastewater Treatment of Tomorrow’, HUBER SE hosted this year's Wastewater Symposium in Berching on 13 and 14 May 2025. Around 200 trade visitors from municipalities, engineering offices and science took the opportunity to learn and exchange information about innovative technologies, current developments and future challenges in water and wastewater management.
Factory Tours And Machine Exhibition
Visitors were given exclusive insights into the 44,000 m² production facilities of HUBER SE at the company headquarters in Berching. The exhibition of machines in front of the HUBER Forum, which presented state-of-the-art plants and solutions for sustainable wastewater treatment as applied in practice, was very well received.

High-calibre Specialist Presentations
The event was also dominated by high-calibre specialist presentations. A particular highlight was the keynote speech by Dr Lisa Broß, Managing Director of the German Association for Water, Wastewater and Waste (DWA), who shed light on the future direction of the industry and in particular the impact of the new EU Urban Wastewater Directive.

- Dr.-Ing. Niklas Trautmann (aqua & waste International): ‘Plant expansion: new aeration tank or conversion to anaerobic stabilization with screening’
The well-attended symposium offered all participants the opportunity for relaxed networking. In a pleasant atmosphere, discussions arising from the presentations were continued and new contacts were made.
