The plant is located in Jagstzell, a municipality in the Ostalbkreis, a district in the east of Baden-Württemberg. HUBER set up the Cycle Day to point its employees to a good but often forgotten alternative to driving by car. The disposal of the sewage sludge that is generated from wastewater treatment in Germany costs about 500 million Euro per year.
