[...]It was just on April 1 that we could celebrate the signing of the 1000th Service and Maintenance Contract with a sewage treatment plant in Germany! The plant is located in Jagstzell, a municipality in the Ostalbkreis, a district in the east of Baden-Württemberg. HUBER organised the event together with UmweltCluster Bayern e.V. - a Bavarian environmental collaboration initiative - and German Phosphorus-Platform DPP. The disposal of the sewage sludge that is generated from wastewater treatment in Germany costs about 500 million Euro per year. Up to now, sewage sludge disposal has meant that the sludge is either utilised as fertilizer being spread onto agricultural land or used for landscaping, or incinerated[...]

[...]A sewage treatment plant is under construction in Egypt, in the east of the Suez Canal, for the treatment of wastewater and agricultural wastewater from the sewer system Bahr El-Baqar.
