[...]The success story of the HUBER ROTAMAT® machine family began 45 years ago. The patent for the HUBER Fine Screen ROTAMAT® Ro1 was filed at that time, and the ROTAMAT® family has continued to prove itself ever since through continuous innovation and adaptation. The patent described a combination of screening, dewatering, compaction and transport. Over the years, further variants of the Ro1 system, which is equipped with a screen basket and a rake, have been developed. These include the Ro2 with a rotating wedge wire basket, the RPPS, which has a perforated plate screen basket, and the latest variant[...]
[...]Dharan, Saudi Arabia Section 1 There are different types of grit traps: longitudinal grit traps (unaerated or aerated) and circular grit traps. Circular grit traps are subdivided into two subcategories: simple hydraulic units and Vortex plants which, independent of the flow rate, keep constant the rotary speed of the wastewater within the grit trap. Four of such VORTEX grit trap plants, which we call VORMAX, were put into operation in Dharan a year ago. The VORMAX units certainly cannot complain about too little sand there in Saudi Arabia, the country of sand. A HUBER Fine Screen STEP SCREEN® SSV[...]
[...]Munich, Germany The new HUBER Pile Cloth Media Filter RotaFilt® will celebrate its premiere at IFAT 2022: HUBER will exhibit an original machine of this filter type at the world’s leading trade fair for environmental technologies. [...]Challenges in mechanical preliminary wastewater treatment Screens, such as the HUBER Multi-Rake Bar Screen RakeMax® , are used in the inlet of wastewater treatment plants to remove coarse contaminants from the incoming wastewater stream. At the same time, such preliminary screens also protect the operation of downstream machinery and units, such as a screw conveyor or a wash press, and ensure the smooth operation of the entire wastewater treatment plant. In addition to the type of material to be expected, however, other unforeseen materials often get into the inlet of the sewage treatment plant[...]
[...]Over 100 completed orders, a total of almost 300 machines in operation in 22 different countries and yet there are still applications where there is a need for a trial. "Trial makes perfect", be it on municipal wastewater treatment plants or for special industrial sludge, the spectrum is diverse. For this purpose, HUBER provides a trial unit of the Sludge Turner SOLSTICE ® , called "HUBER Baby SOLSTICE ® ", on a reduced scale. In the field for over 10 years The trial unit has now been in operation for over 10 years. After trials in Germany, the plant was mainly used in South America. Since [...]
[...]Lyon, France In the south-west of Lyon, France's third largest city, the new modern La Saulaie district is currently under construction. It will provide new flats and houses for more than 2,000 people as well as commercial space, parks and leisure facilities. The existing district on the banks of the Rhône is being modernised and extended on the currently unused site of the French railway company SCNF. Sustainable energy supply As the issue of sustainability plays a similarly important role in France as it does in Germany, a sustainable energy supply for the district was particularly important[...]
[...]The first HUBER service consultant tour in New Zealand, organised and planned by our long-time service consultant Martin Burger, marked a significant milestone for HUBER. With a time difference of 12 hours and a flight time of approx. 22 hours, he was faced with great challenges, which he successfully mastered together with colleagues from our partner company Hydroflux at the end of 2024. In his report, Martin Burger talks about an unforgettable journey: ‘New Zealand, known for its active volcanoes and impressive landscapes, provided the setting for a tour full of technical highlights and [...]
[...]Houston, TX USA In August 2017, Hurricane Harvey hit the Texas Gulf Coast and struck it hard. The devastating category 4 hurricane caused unprecedented flooding. In addition to more than $125 billion in property damage, the storm completely destroyed hundreds of thousands of homes. Within just four days, more than one metre of rain per square metre fell in many areas in the Houston region, making Harvey the rainiest storm ever recorded in the United States. Since Hurricane Harvey, the Houston region has repeatedly experienced severe storms, which is why the National Weather Service (NWS) has [...]
[...]The HUBER STRAINPRESS® Sludgecleaner SP 430 was introduced 4 years ago in response to the number of projects that required multiple SP 290’s. Many of the 290’s STRAINPRESS® supplied would’ve been single units, but on the larger sites like Five Fords in Welsh Water required 4 SP 290’s, Minworth & Coles Hill in Severen Trent required 6 & 4 SP 290’s respectively. The capacity of the STRAINPRESS® SP 430 is just over double that of the SP290. The flow rate of the SP 430 with a 5mm basket @3% ds sludge is 160M3/Hr compared to 75M3/Hr on the SP 290. Cost savings can be made by: Reduced number of units [...]
