HUBER SE opens modern training center at Berching headquarters

Today, HUBER SE officially opened its new training and education center at its headquarters in Berching. This modern building will provide a forward-looking learning and working environment for the leading environmental technology company's apprentices and dual-study students.

Spanning around 1,000 square meters, the center is the focal point for training and plays a pivotal role in the company’s efforts to ensure a steady supply of skilled workers.
The new center combines a modern training workshop for vocational trades with state-of-the-art training, work and recreation rooms.
Design engineers, developers, programmers, mechatronics engineers and electricians will find ideal conditions here in which to expand their knowledge in a practical setting and prepare for the demands of an increasingly digitalized world of work.

Dr Oliver Rong: ‘An apprenticeship at HUBER can provide a livelihood for an entire family’

In his speech, Dr Oliver Rong (Vice CEO and Chief Technical & Production Officer) said: ‘We want to make it clear to young people that: Anyone who chooses an apprenticeship at HUBER is not just choosing a place to do an apprenticeship. They are choosing a successful, internationally active company with strong regional roots, an excellent reputation, and very good long-term career prospects. This can provide a livelihood for an entire family.’

Despite the challenging global political, economic and security environment, HUBER is pursuing a clear growth strategy because the company is looking to the future with confidence and courage. In order to implement its global market leadership and strategy in the long term, HUBER continues to require qualified specialists in all areas. The company's own apprenticeship programme is therefore not a secondary task, but a central component in securing its future. ‘With this training center, we are investing in machinery, facilities and modern technology. Above all, however, we are investing in young people – and thus directly in HUBER’s future. We are strengthening our training programme, we are strengthening the sense of community amongst our trainees, and at the same time we are strengthening our headquarters and the entire region. I wish all our trainees every success and hope they enjoy their training,’ said Dr Rong.

Modern training across two levels

The training center has been designed over two floors to make the most of the available space. The ground floor houses a training workshop with conventional and virtual welding workstations. There is also a range of machine tools and workbenches available for practical training. There is also a spacious open area for using larger machines in the machining field.

A particular highlight is the newly created trainee lounge with a drinks area, personal lockers, and a foosball table — an attractive meeting place for trainees.

Modern training and recreation rooms have been set up on the upper floor. These include a workroom for CAD and programming training, a mechatronics and electrical laboratory, and a spacious break area. Toilet facilities and storage areas complement the facilities.

This investment will sustainably strengthen HUBER SE's training structures and create ideal conditions for the next generation of skilled workers.

The new training and education center sends a clear signal regarding the promotion of young talent, the securing of a skilled workforce, and the long-term strengthening of the Berching site.
