The term "surface-watertight” means that the manhole cover is protected against the ingress of natural precipitation such as rain or other surface water that occurs without pressure.
Watertight manhole cover SD5, rectangular type
Manhole cover, watertight up to 3.2 ft. / 1 m head of water, rectangular in shape, constructed entirely of 1.4307 (AISI 304 L) stainless steel.
In accordance with DIN 1239:2018-4, suitable for use in Ex zone 1.
The cover is constructed from stainless steel plate with a centrally raised profile, featuring robust external hinges, a stainless steel gas-assisted spring damper, and an integrated hand-release arrestor. It includes a handle and a circumferential frost-proof, weather-resistant rubber seal fixed in a slot. Equipped with a central lock and a brass protective hood, it can only be opened with a specialized key for added security.
A connection for potential equalization is provided.
The frame consists of an angle section for bolt mounting, with two internal lift locks.
Manhole cover and frame shielded arc-welded, acid-treated in a pickling bath and passivated.
Mounting material, gasket strip and operating key included.
