The new apprentices are spread across the following disciplines: seven in metalworking, three in mechatronics engineering, one in environmental technology specializing in wastewater management, two in industrial business administration, two in technical product design and one in plant mechanics at the Berlin/Waßmannsdorf service site. Additionally, two female students are beginning a dual degree programme in Bio- and Environmental Process Engineering at the East Bavarian University of Applied Sciences in Amberg-Weiden, while one student is starting an Industrial Engineering programme at the DHBW Mannheim.

Welcome from the Executive Board, HR department and Works Council

At the start of their training, the new apprentices and dual-study students received a warm welcome from Dr Oliver Rong (Vice CEO and Chief Technical and Production Officer), Rainer Köhler (Chief Technology Officer), and representatives from the Human Resources department, the training management team, and the works council.

Dr. Oliver Rong: ’Training is an investment in the future’

In his welcome address, Dr Oliver Rong (Vice CEO and Chief Technical and Production Officer) said: 'For us, training is an investment in the future – the future of HUBER and, above all, the future of young people. Anyone who starts their career at HUBER is given the chance to build a long-term future for themselves and their family through excellent training, personal achievement, and taking on responsibility. We are proud that so many young people choose HUBER, and it is a great mark of confidence.’

Rainer Köhler, Chief Technology Officer, said: 'Our apprentices and dual-study students are the skilled workers of tomorrow. Many of our current managers and specialists started their careers here at HUBER. By providing practical training, modern learning and working conditions, and the support of experienced colleagues, we are laying the foundations for their successful career development.’

After the official welcome, there was an overview of the company, information on occupational health management, and a safety briefing. During a tour of the factory, the new recruits were able to get their first impression of the Berching/Erasbach site. The first day came to a close in a relaxed atmosphere.

Structured introduction

Over the next few days, the new recruits will receive more information about their apprenticeship and the dual study programme at HUBER. As well as organizational matters, this includes valuable guidance on company procedures. Group activities will help the new recruits get to know one another and foster a sense of team spirit. Practical information sessions and a detailed tour of the site will also help to ensure that their transition into everyday working life goes as smoothly as possible.
