On Tuesday, 29 July 2025, HUBER SE was awarded the ‘Bavaria's Best 50’ prize by the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy as one of the 50 most dynamic medium-sized companies in the Free State of Bavaria. The award ceremony took place in the historic Schleißheim Palace near Munich. Johanna Rong (née Huber, shareholder and supervisory board member of HUBER SE) and Dr Oliver Rong (Deputy CEO, Chief Technical & Production Officer) accepted the award from Minister of Economic Affairs Hubert Aiwanger.
With the ‘Bavaria's Best 50’ competition, the Ministry of Economic Affairs honours medium-sized companies that stand out for their exceptional growth. The award recognises companies that identify opportunities, consistently exploit them and thus create jobs – they are considered the cornerstones of the Bavarian economy. Responsible entrepreneurship, innovative strength and sustainable development are key criteria.

Bavaria's Minister of Economic Affairs, Hubert Aiwanger, presented the award in person and said: ‘With vision, innovative strength and tireless commitment, these companies ensure the economic strength and future viability of our state. They are role models for responsible entrepreneurship.’

In her speech at the ceremony, Johanna Rong said: ‘This award confirms our drive to be a family business with lasting success and to grow responsibly.’
Dr Oliver Rong said: ‘We are proud to be among Bavaria's Best 50 again this year. This motivates us to continue our international success with innovative strength and team spirit!’
Independent jury decides based on objective criteria
This year marked the twenty-fourth edition of the competition. The ‘Bavaria's Best 50’ award was presented to the 50 most dynamic medium-sized companies in Bavaria.
The award honours companies that have achieved above-average growth in turnover and employee numbers in recent years. The winners, spread across all Bavarian administrative districts, were selected by an auditing firm acting as an independent jury on behalf of the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs. Selection was based on objective criteria.
