Treat and reuse process water and waste water

Water reuse makes it possible to use water in cycles. This reduces both the consumption of fresh water and the amount of wastewater produced.

Water recycling and reuse in industry in the context of "ZLD - Zero Liquid Discharge" plays an important role with regard to the economical use of water as a resource.

The importance of irrigating agricultural land with treated municipal wastewater is also widespread in many countries, especially those with less rainfall, and will continue to increase due to climate change and the need for a sustainable "circular economy".

The treatment of water with the aim of reuse is carried out by a combination of different process steps, which must be adapted to the specific situation. Here, the quality of the contaminated water as well as the requirements for the treated water play the decisive role.

HUBER has a comprehensive portfolio of products and technologies and is therefore able to develop and provide the necessary processes for a customised water reuse solution.

HUBER Rotary Drum Fine Screen ROTAMAT® Ro2
The separation of coarse and fine materials with screening equipment is a prerequisite for further water treatment.
HUBER Longitudinal Grit Trap ROTAMAT® Ro6, outdoor installation
Grit traps reliably separate undesirable mineral particles.
HUBER Dissolved Air Flotation Plant HDF
Flotation plants with chemical stage separate dissolved and undissolved substances.
HUBER Active Carbon Filter CONTIFLOW® GAK
Trace substances such as drug residues are largely eliminated with activated carbon filters.

HUBER process modules for water reuse

Removal of coarse and fine solids:

HUBER screens and screening plants reliably remove all types of larger and smaller solids, thus creating the preconditions for reliable implementation of further treatment steps.

Grit removal:

For the separation of grit or mineral constituents HUBER Grit Traps are used.

Removal of dissolved and undissolved substances:

The HUBER Dissolved Air Flotation Plant HDF is a chemical-physical process technology that can separate both dissolved and undissolved substances to a very large extent using suitable precipitants and flocculants.

Separation of finest solids:

For the removal of very fine solids and particles, HUBER offers various micro screens and filters for screening, sand filtration, cloth filtration and activated carbon adsorption.
